After a historic NCAA Tournament, the best players in women's college basketball took the next step Monday night at the WNBA Draft in New York.
Caitlin Clark was the No. 1 overall pick for the Indiana Fever after helping Iowa to the national championship game for the second straight season and was the starter that night.
Clark finished his collegiate career averaging 31.6 points and 8.9 assists per game, both tops in the nation.
Stanford's Cameron Brink went next to the Los Angeles Sparks, while Tennessee's Camila Cardoso went third to the Chicago Sky.

Angel Rees goes back to his high school days and talks about the first time he played against his new teammate Camila Cardoso. She said she's looking forward to seeing Chicago's frontcourt duo play against the Los Angeles duo of Cameron Brink and Rikea Jackson.
There is one important point regarding back-to-back national picks by Dallas and Connecticut. Teams often draft these players and stash them, adding them to their roster in later seasons. They may have done so this year due to a lack of roster room or knowing that the remaining players on the Olympic and national teams are not yet ready to join the WNBA.
Jaycee Sheldon talks to reporters. She is a big surprise for Dallas for the first time and brings a strong defense. The Wings are on track to break into the top four teams. They are a young group built around Arike Ogunbowale and Sato Sabally, and lacked experience in last year's postseason.
Teresa Weatherspoon gives Chicago the frontcourt of the future when they draft Camila Cardoso with the No. 3 pick and Angel Reese with the No. 7 pick.
“Nobody's going to let us get no rebounds,” Cardoso said minutes after Reese left.
She also inadvertently criticized local media in New York, saying that although she had never been to Chicago, she had heard it had the best pizza.
Angel Reese: “Excited to play with Camila” [Cardoso]. I've been playing against her since her high school days. ”
Rekea Jackson has two outfits tonight, one for the Orange Carpet and one for her selection, which is quite a bold move.
Cameron Brink said he FaceTimed his godbrother, Stephen Curry, about five minutes before the WNBA Draft Show started. She also called him Seth Curry. “He was Seth, so I hung up on him right away, but he called me right back.”
