- Amazon's Alexa is being revamped with generative AI, the company announced this week at its annual Devices & Services event in Arlington, Virginia. Similar to OpenAI's ChatGPT, Alexa will soon be able to compose and send messages on people's behalf. For example, Amazon presented an Alexa-written invitation inviting a friend to a football game. Amazon says the new feature, called “Let's chat,” will be available in early preview for existing Echo owners in the coming weeks.
