Vedanta Aluminum announced that it has launched an e-commerce platform to promote sales of primary aluminum products.
The e-commerce platform provides buyers with just-in-time delivery, real-time AI-based price discovery, and end-to-end visibility of their purchases from order to delivery.
The company has over 750 aluminum products listed on its electronic superstore 'Vedanta Metal Bazaar'.
This platform includes product availability, online price search, long-term contracts, on-the-spot ordering, live shipment tracking, financial reconciliation, and all important documents such as test certificates, bank guarantees, letters, etc. It integrates several world-first features. of trust. Customers can choose among channel finance and logistics providers to ease the procurement process.
“For small and medium-sized businesses, this is going to be a real game changer,” Vedanta Aluminum CEO John Slaven told PTI.
Further, Slaven said that the e-commerce platform is a breakthrough for the Indian industry as it helps the company offer a full range of products to its customers.
“With over 750 products available, the purchasing process from actually identifying which product you want and understanding price, which is a very complex and dynamic process, to contract negotiation, documentation, and logistics management. “You need every aspect of it. And you can also deliver to that site. And as far as financial reconciliation, all that can be done on this platform,” he added.
Products offered include ingots, billets, primary casting alloys, wire rods, rolled products, flipped coils, hot metal, and Restora (low carbon aluminum). In addition, Superstore also offers customized solutions tailored to the needs of the company's customer base.
Vedanta Aluminum, a business of Vedanta Ltd., produced 2.29 million tonnes of aluminum in FY23.
