Background research and data sourcing can be an important part of investigative reporting, especially in cross-border reporting projects. To ensure that watchdog journalists have access to the most up-to-date resources, GIJN has reviewed, revised and updated its topic-specific database. The partial list of databases is the first of several batch releases to ensure that the list of resources is completely up to date.
This database is maintained by the Global Investigative Journalism Network (GIJN) and is one of many resources available in our Resource Center.
Migration Resources — This database includes links to global migration organizations and related reports, as well as regional listings of organizations monitoring migration, human trafficking, and labor rights.
Business and Trade Resources — This database includes market analysis tools and global datasets, as well as import and export trade data, global shipping statistics, a database of business registries, offshore bank accounts, and a list of economic experts. Contains resources for tracking.

It also includes international financial institutions and regional financial institutions. Other NGOs and civil society organizations tracking the economic impact of food and agricultural supply chains are also listed here.
