As spring approaches, the University's Health and Human Services Department is offering a variety of health, fitness and wellness opportunities to MSU students, employees and community members.
- UHW SPARTANfit Comprehensive Fitness Assessment and Functional Movement Screening Promotion, March
MSU students preparing for the Izzo Legacy 5K, or looking to kickstart or enhance their fitness and wellness, receive a 50% off discounted fitness assessment and functional movement screening during the month of March can do. SPARTANfit's Comprehensive Fitness Assessment and Functional Movement Screening 5K provides baseline measurements of overall fitness and function to help you reach your personal physical activity and health goals.Student/Student Spouse: Initial evaluation: $20 to $10. - Training up to UHW SPARTANfit 5K, March 18th
UHW's SPARTANfit fitness and wellness program will allow individuals to participate in upcoming fundraising runs and walks, including the Izzo Legacy Run/Walk/Roll on April 20th and the Out of the Darkness Campus Walk on April 14th. We intentionally timed it to offer a “Train Your Way to a 5K.” His free five-week running/walking/rolling training program for MSU students, faculty, staff and community members begins March 18th. This program provides weekly workouts, tips, and motivation emailed to you by a SPARTANfit-certified health and wellbeing coach. . Sign up here. - UHW/CIM Health Fair, MSU Union, March 25, From 1pm to 4pm
UHW, in partnership with the Regional Integrative Medicine Club, will host a free health fair on March 25th in the MSU Union Ballroom. CIM, which is made up of medical students training to become doctors, will provide free medical examinations. UHW will set up fitness stations offering mini-fitness assessments.
