Liverpudlian Paddy Pimblett has said he will be added to UFC Manchester on July 27th.
The UFC announced its return to the UK last week, with Brits Tom Aspinall and Leon Edwards expected to compete in a title fight.
The Englishman said on his YouTube channel that he hopes to fight on the Manchester card: “I think I'll see your son there.”
Pimblett, who has five wins in five fights in the UFC, has several options for his next fight.
Lightweight rivals Bobby Greene and Renato Moicano both sent Pimblett out after his victories at UFC 300 earlier this month.
Both fighters are ranked in the top 15 of the UFC's lightweight rankings, with American Green ranked 15th and Brazil's Moicano ranked 10th.
“Bobby Greene then screamed my name into the microphone. [UFC 300]. I wasn't surprised, you know what I'm saying? He may be ranked, but he doesn't have followers, and he needs me just like everyone else,” Pimblett said.
“I want to fight my son Moikano, Renato, where is he?
“I don't even hate Renato Moicano. I actually like him. He's a funny guy, a cool guy, so it would be interesting for me and him to fight.”
UFC 304 will take place in the early morning hours in the United Kingdom, and the MMA promotion will air the pay-per-view show during prime time in the United States.
Pimblett's fellow Brit Michael Bisping defended his middleweight title in a similar bout in 2016, when the fight didn't start until after 4 a.m. local time in Manchester.
