Brazilian Andre Lima got a tattoo of the tooth print left behind when he was bitten by opponent Igor Severino during a UFC bout in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Severino bit Lima in the bicep as he stood in a clinch against the cage in the second round of the flyweight bout.
Referee Chris Tognoni stopped the match and the incident was reviewed before Brazilian Severino was disqualified and Lima was awarded the victory.
UFC president Dana White offered Lima, 25, a bonus after his debut fight, but said he would double the amount to $50,000 (about £45,000) after seeing his tattoo.
“I was going to give him 25,000 yen,” White posted on Instagram. “Now I'll give him 50,000, which is great.”
Lima wrote, “It was so insane I had to make it permanent! What a memorable debut! Thanks boss Dana White! I'm ready for so much more!”
Severino, 20, was reportedly released from the UFC by White, who told journalist Kevin Ior:
“If you get frustrated and want to get out of a fight, there are many ways to do it, but the worst thing you can do is bite your opponent.
“Now you're going to be cut and you're going to lose the biggest opportunity of your life. Needless to say, he's going to have serious problems with NSAC.” [Nevada State Athletic Commission]. ”
After the fight, in the Octagon, Lima said: “I was able to hit him hard, but when I tried to knock him down he bit me, so I screamed,” he said.
In the main event, former American strawweight champion Rose Namajunas defeated Brazil's Amanda Rivas by unanimous decision in a flyweight showdown.
On the undercard, British heavyweight Mick Parkin defeated Nigeria's Mohamed Usman, the younger brother of former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, by unanimous decision.
