An unknown trader invested just 0.049 ETH ($137) and made $176,000 in new SORA tokens that are unrelated to the new text video AI.
As noted by Lookonchain analysts, a trader spent 0.049 ETH ($137) to buy 16 million SORA, and the trader then sold 12.36 million SORA for 36.57 ETH ($102,492).
The SORA token was created shortly after OpenAI announced its generative artificial intelligence model of the same name. However, Coin is not affiliated with the development team.
In total, the same trader earned approximately 1280 times their initial investment, or approximately $176,000.
In the past 24 hours, the price of SORA token has fallen by almost 20% and stands at $0.01591 at the time of writing.
OpenAI has introduced a new neural network, Sora, for video generation. The company says Sora can create realistic and fantasy scenes using text instructions. The text-to-video model allows users to create photorealistic videos of up to 1 minute in length from text descriptions.
Meanwhile, the World Coin Project token associated with OpenAI founder Sam Altman rose more than 40% in one day to hit an all-time high. On a weekly basis, it was an increase of approximately 180%. Some analysts attribute the increase in WLD rates to the recent announcement of OpenAI's Sora generative neural network for video.
