There was a line at the Spark at Scissor Tail Park, and as excited as Thunder fans were ahead of their game against the New Orleans Pelicans, the rest of the park was packed as well. A few hours before tip-off, the park held a “Thunder Up in the Park'' event to welcome fans.
“Especially after Sunday and seeing the large crowd we had here, we have ramped up our staff and are ready to serve everyone who comes through the door.” said Jordan Pettit, Marketing Manager at Social Order.
Businesses near and within the park had a renewed sense of community excitement for Thunder.
“We love doing everything we can to support the Thunder, and we're really looking forward to seeing how the business carries over to some new locations,” Pettey said.
For the Spark, located on the edge of the park, that means burgers and fries will be flying out of line just like they were on the Sunday night before Game 1.
“All night long you could see a line outside the store with a lot of errands,” Petey said.
