Insurers and nonprofits launch partnership with Digital Guide for Next Generation Workers to host mental health event at Connecticut State Capitol
Hartford, CT, April 4, 2024–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Hartford, a leading provider of workers' compensation and employee benefits, joins forces to raise mental health awareness and provide resources for mental health support. Active Minds, a leading dedicated nonprofit organization, is collaborating to provide better support. This digital guide is the first of three resources being created this year to meet the growing need for mental health education and support. A national survey by The Hartford found that a majority of U.S. workers (60%) think employers should provide additional mental health tools to employees.
In addition, Hartford and Active Minds today brought the nonprofit Send Silence Packing exhibit to the Connecticut State Capitol to foster a statewide conversation on mental health and inspire support and hope. The immersive art exhibition features 100 of his backpacks containing 100 personal stories covering themes of silence, loss, survival and resilience. Send Silence Packing has been traveling the country for more than a decade, working with local communities to address the escalating youth mental health crisis and prevent youth suicide. Connecticut's capital city is one of 60 to 80 communities hosting immersive exhibits this year.
