The Faculty of Education is proud to host the 13th Annual Educational Leadership Awards Dinner on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at the Queen's Campus.

Vice President for Academic Affairs and Graduate Schools Seton Hall University; Casey Romangino '14Ed, '16GEd, '23Ed.D., vice principal Carrie P. Weber Middle School, Port Washington, NY. Sunita Manjrekar '98Ged, Deputy Commissioner for Welfare and Employment Services Nassau County (New York) Department of Social Services; Br. David Anthony Migliorino, OSF '79Ged; major, Jorge Santos, St. Anthony High School, South Huntington, NY '10CPS, '12G, '18Ged, AuthorDr. SoiberaMetropolitan School of Expeditionary Learning, Queens, New York.
Joseph Siem ('71Ed, former vice president of community relations) served as moderator. Anna Maria Montuori ’68Ed, ’70GEd, ’82PD gave the welcome. Aneesh Mathew, CM ’23Ed.D., gave the invocation, and Dr. James D. Wolfinger, Dean of the College of Education, delivered closing remarks.
The support from family and friends for the award recipients was overwhelming. The energy in the room captured the sense of pride, connection, and belonging among the graduates, demonstrating their pride in the St. John's College of Education. They are all keen to put that money forward to support the next generation of students with similarly leveling up education. Approximately 100 people participated in the event. ”
“Events like the LEAD dinner remind us every year why we do this work,” says James Wolfinger. “At St. John's, we prepare students to make real change in the world and make our communities better places to live and learn. We are amazed by the work of our graduates. I'm looking forward to seeing who will be honored next year.”
The awards dinner embodies the University's core values of truth, love, respect, opportunity, excellence, and service.
