CEA may be eligible to elect up to 30 state representatives to the NEA RA in 2020. The following are the positions we are recruiting for.
Category 1 At-Large/State Representatives: 15 positions (term: 2 years)
Category 1 Major/Minority Issues: 4 positions (terms: 2
Year)
These categories require active classroom teachers (membership type AC-1) or local affiliate NEA Life members (membership type AC-7) to be eligible for these positions.
Educator applicants: 1 person (term of office: 1 year)
Only aspiring educators with SEA and NEA membership are eligible for this position.
Membership unit: 9 positions from a specific membership unit (term: 1 year)
Only Active Members (Membership Type AC-1) or NEA Life Members (Membership Type AC-7) who teach at a local CEA affiliate in one of the 17 Membership Units may be appointed to these positions. can. The nine open units include E, F, H, J, K, L, M, P, and Q.

Category 2 At-Large: 1 position (Interim positions are currently being filled this year)
Candidates for Category 2 At-Large positions must be active members in supervisor/administrator positions (membership type AC-1) or NEA life members who have retired from teaching (membership type AC-7). there is. Members who are active Lifetime Members and have not retired from teaching are eligible for Category 2.
