Rishabh Pant has been selected in India's T20 World Cup squad and is set to return to international cricket for the first time since his life-threatening road accident.
The 26-year-old wicketkeeper has not played for India since sustaining serious injuries in an accident in December 2022.
He returned to cricket in the ongoing Indian Premier League, where he scored 398 runs in 11 matches with a high score of 88 not out.
India will begin their World Cup campaign against Ireland on June 5.
They will play all of their first group stage matches in the United States, the tournament's co-hosts along with West Indies, including a centerpiece match against rivals Pakistan on Sunday, June 9 in New York.

Rohit Sharma will lead the Indian team along with Hardik Pandya, who has struggled since replacing Rohit as captain and vice-captain of IPL franchise Mumbai Indians.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was the player of the series in India's Test series against England earlier this year, was also selected.
Virat Kohli, who had missed that contest due to personal reasons, returns while Jasprit Bumrah is one of only three frontline pace bowlers in the team along with Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Siraj. There is only one person.
India instead selected four spinners in their touring squad: Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav and leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal.
Batsman Shubman Gill is only included in the list of reserves, while wicketkeeper KL Rahul has been left out completely in favor of Sanju Samson.
