Monroe County Sheriff Troy Goodnow said a 66-year-old woman crashed 7 feet into a building at Swan Creek Boat Club in Berlin around 3 p.m., killing an 8-year-old girl and her 5-year-old child. announced that his younger brother had died. About 30 miles south of Detroit.
“First aid was given to approximately 15 victims, including adults and infants,” Goodnow said at a news conference Saturday night.

Several more people were taken by private vehicles to area hospitals.
Goodnow said the scene of the crash was “described by first responders as a very chaotic situation with high emotions for those directly involved and those who witnessed this horrific incident.”
Goodnow clarified that it was unclear how many people were in the building at the time of the crash.
The sheriff's office did not release the identity of the woman driving the vehicle, but said she was taken into custody on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated causing death.
“Additional criminal charges will likely be filed against the driver as the investigation progresses,” Goodnow said.
She said she is cooperating with authorities.
