Six-time Northern Ireland champion Jonathan Rea scored his first points in this year's World Superbike Series with an eighth place finish in Race 2 in Barcelona, won by Alvaro Bautista.
Rea, who joined Yamaha this season after moving from Kawasaki, finished 13th in Sunday morning's sprint race but remained without points.
He was adamant he won't be leaving empty-handed with eight points in race two.
Spain's Bautista won by holding off Nicolo Brega with a Ducati one-two.
This was Bautista's 60th World Superbike race win, and his first win of the season, moving him to second place in the overall rankings.
However, after two rounds, 24-year-old Italian Brega is in the lead with 87 points, 12 points ahead of Bautista.
Turkey's Toprak Razgatlioglu ended the weekend successfully with wins in Race 1 and Sunday's Super Pole Race, and a podium finish with a third place in Race 2.
Defending champion Bautista fought from 11th to take the lead at the start of the final lap before a sensational move in the final corner saw Razgatlioglu hold off Andrea Iannone for his second win of the weekend. Ta.
British rider Alex Laws, fifth in the Superpole race, finished sixth in race two in Barcelona, level with Bautista in third place on 75 points.
His twin brother Sam Lowes finished 12th, giving him 13th place.
Rea, who retired after just one lap in Race 1 on Saturday, dropped to 17th after a poor start on the first lap of Sunday's race, failing to finish in the top nine in the points.
However, six races have passed since the start of the series, and he has earned eight points, placing 17th overall, and finally joining the Yamaha team.
Round 3 of the World Superbike Series will be held in Assen, Netherlands from April 19th to 21st.
