Ask Anthony's team is talking to customers who have paid thousands of dollars to Jacksonville companies whose outdoor kitchens were damaged or stopped working.
St. John's, Fla. — A Premier Outdoor USA customer is getting help with his outdoor kitchen after another business owner saw his story. First coast news.
After paying about 70 percent of the nearly $13,000 purchase price, Jason White's outdoor kitchen still hasn't been installed in his backyard. The St. Johns County Navy Veterans has signed a contract with Premier Outdoors USA on Phillips Highway in Jacksonville in May 2023.
“So what we're doing is we're going to take this to our lawyers and hopefully this case will be taken up. And we're going to move forward with it,” said Jason White. added.
The Ask Anthony team found that White was not alone in his complaints. Over the past few weeks, we've been talking to customers who paid thousands of dollars for outdoor kitchens that were damaged or didn't work. The company is currently being investigated by the Florida Attorney General's Office.
After White's article aired, Premier Outdoor USA head Sean Jackrell texted Anthony Austin and said he would offer White a refund if both parties agreed.
Mr White said: “I was offered a refund, with the condition that I must not say any derogatory words towards the Prime Minister. I will delete all posts. I refuse to be silenced. You will silence me.'' I don't mean to. I have a voice.” .
Another veteran business owner also saw Mr. White's story.
“My wife and I actually met in the Army in 2004. We were both veterans. It was someone that was very near and dear to our hearts. Once we heard that, we knew we wanted to step in. It was kind of easy to say, 'Let's see what we can do,''' Brandon Schindler explained.
Brandon Schindler and his wife decided to build Jason White and his family a brand new outdoor kitchen for free. However, this story has twists and turns.
The name of Schindler's company is Premier Outdoor Incorporated.
Schindler replied, “Just because we have the same name doesn't mean we're brothers.''
He is familiar with Premier Outdoor USA. He says customers often confuse the two businesses.
“We actually came up with a rebuttal template that we use for Google and Facebook reviews,” Schindler said.
For White, accepting this offer is humbling.
“To get this young man, who is also a military veteran, to contact us, please tell us what he would like to do for us. There are no conditions at all. My priority right now is to It’s about sharing information with the entire neighborhood,” White added.
The Florida Attorney General's Office received 19 complaints regarding Premier Outdoors USA. The Consumer Protection Division is actively investigating.
