Dr. Williamson brings 17 years of teaching experience and will take over the role on March 8
At a special board meeting on February 27, the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District Board of Education approved the appointment of Dr. Stacey Williamson as the new Deputy Director of Educational Services.
Dr. Williamson will begin his position on March 8 and brings 17 years of educational experience, including two years as director of research, evaluation, and evaluation at SMMUSD.
Dr. Williamson's educational work includes a variety of roles in the Palmdale and Newhall School Districts, including elementary school principal, assistant principal, and district learning support teacher. In his current role, he coordinates district-wide assessment programs, submits annual reports to the school board, and works with principals and teachers to analyze school data.
Dr. Williamson's commitment to academic excellence is evident, as he holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts, a Master of Arts in Education, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from California State University, Northridge. She replaces Dr. Jacqueline Mora, and in recognition of her accomplishments, her Superintendent Dr. Antonio Shelton thanked her educational services team for their dedication during her transition period.
