A 5-star hotel in Singapore is offering a unique solution to guests whose vacations were ruined by heavy rain.
InterContinental Singapore has announced a new accommodation package, “Rain Resist Bliss,'' which will cover the cost of one night's stay if scheduled activities are interrupted due to rain.
According to CNN Travel, which reviewed the hotel's press release, guests will be paid if the rain “accumulates for more than 120 minutes within a four-hour daytime block.”
The package is only available to suite guests, with rates starting at about $600 per night for junior suites and more than $4,000 per night for presidential suites, the store said.
Hotel manager Andreas Kremer told CNN Travel: “I was talking with a group of friends about an upcoming luxury trip, and one of them jokingly commented that being able to guarantee good weather would be the next level of ultimate luxury” travel. “
This led to the creation of the “Rain Resist Bliss” package, the newspaper reported.
