STATE UNIVERSITY — The State University Regional School District Educational Foundation will enroll the Maroon & Gray Society Class of 2024 on Friday, April 26 at 6 p.m. The celebration will be held at Center Hills Country Club. The event will include an evening reception and a program introducing the award winners. SCASD alumni and community members are encouraged to attend.
Established in 2018, the Maroon & Gray Society recognizes notable alumni, faculty, and others in the district who have made a positive impact. The SCASD Educational Foundation will welcome the following graduates to the Maroon & Gray Society's Class of 2024 at this event.

- Ginger Breon '77, Chief Technology Officer, The Ohio State University
- Rick Bryant '75, retired, executive director, Central Pennsylvania Arts Festival
- Katie Gallagher '05, artist and fashion designer (deceased)
- Loretta “Laurie” Jeffries, retired educator and administrator
- Charles “Doc” Loviscky, Retired Administrator, Educator, Director, State High School Motivation Resource Center
- Dean Richard Phillips ’69, retired, former shareholder of Elliott Greenleaf (Blue Bell)
- Lynn Sanders, Retired Educator, Administrator
- Pat Vernon, retired technology education teacher
- David Weintraub '76, Professor Emeritus of Astronomy and Director Emeritus of Science and Technology Communications, Vanderbilt University
- Jared Yarnall-Schane, co-owner and operator of Singing Onstage (with spouse Leah Mueller '08)
Tickets are $100 and available at scasdfoundation.org/2024-celebration. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Mental Health Matters Fund, which was established with $50,000 in proceeds from the 2019 Maroon & Gray Society Celebration. The mental health and well-being of students remains the district’s top priority, and the 2024 fund will support training for faculty and staff. Mental health curriculum. Awareness program.
