DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — The body of a DeKalb County man with special needs was discovered Saturday afternoon, according to his family.
James King, 57, known as “Coach Bud,” was last seen leaving Applebee's on Lawrenceville Highway around 10 p.m.
DeKalb police say they found the body in the woods along Mariner's Court just before 2 p.m.
King's family went to the scene with police and identified King as the victim. Police say they have not yet confirmed that the body is that of the king.

Mr. King was a longtime sports fan at Tucker High School and had attended a basketball game at the school early the night before his disappearance.
“Bud has a mental disorder, does not own or drive a car, and does not have a credit card to verify his purchases to ensure normal activities. He takes the Maltese bus to Tucker every day and… He is returning to his family home in Decatur,” the family wrote. on her GoFundMe set up to help fund the search.
