Building on the success of the league's recent national animated telecast, the first-of-its-kind local animation presentation features NHL EDGE location data (NHL puck and player tracking) and Hawk-Eye Innovations optical tracking to recreate the action on the ice. The event will also feature appearances by Blackhawks mascot Tommy Hawk and his friends in a fun setting with the United Center as the backdrop. Real-time animated programming will also be produced in collaboration with NHL innovation partner Beyond Sports.
NBC Sports Chicago will provide traditional game telecast with play-by-play by WGN Radio 720's Jon Wiedemann and expert game analysis from NBC Sports Chicago's Darren Pang.
