SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (Good Utah) – Abuse prevention education can help cut abuse in half. Preventing Child Abuse Utah is committed to preventing child abuse through school-based prevention programs. PCAU He has been teaching child abuse prevention in Utah schools for over 40 years. PCAU's trained teams travel to schools every week to teach students, parents, and educators how to recognize, resist, and report child abuse.
April is Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month. In an effort to spread awareness and educate the community on how to prevent and stop nighttime abuse, Good Things Utah partnered with Child Abuse Prevention Utah and the Salt Lake Chapter of the NAACP in April to help spread better awareness. We strived to foster this.
PCAU's Child Abuse Prevention Program is taught in the classroom. This is a family-centered facility that is age-appropriate. Topics covered include physical safety and introducing children to five trusted adults they can turn to if they are feeling uncomfortable. This program has received high praise from parents and teachers.
