Huntington Beach is the team to beat in Surf League baseball, so if the Oilers can receive strong pitching, their opponents will face a difficult task. On Thursday, the Oilers' Tyler Bellows and Trent Grindlinger pitched a no-hitter in a 2-0 win against Los Alamitos.
Los Alamitos could not solve Bellows, who pitched 6 1/3 scoreless innings. After that, the Oilers brought on closer Guindlinger, who struck out two batters and completed a no-hitter. The Oilers have a total of 11 wins and 4 losses, and a league record of 3 wins and 1 loss.
At Los Alamitos, Jake Lorenz had four strikeouts in six innings.
Fountain Valley 2, Edison 0: Kayden Bonura pitched well with a three-hit shutout and six strikeouts.
Orange Lutheran 5, Service 2: The Lancers won their third straight Trinity League title. Derek Kriel had two hits.
La Mirada 13, Downey 2: Jacob Oropeza finished with three hits for La Mirada.
Villa Park 2, Cypress 1: Jacob Sandoval hit a walk-off double for Villa Park. Sean Romero had three hits, including a home run.
El Camino Real 7, Elk Grove 0: Christian Gastelum pitched a complete game and Brendan McClure hit a three-run home run.
Simi Valley 15, Eastlake 5: Liam Blake had four RBIs.
Oaks Christian 9, Agora 2: Joshua Brown led Oaks Christian with three hits and three RBIs, including a home run.
Westlake 7, Thousand Oaks 2: The Warriors moved into a tie with Calabasas for first place in the Marmonte League. Kaden Youmans had a home run, double and three RBIs. Jesse Beer started the game by pitching four scoreless innings.
Newbury Park 8, Calabasas 3: Tyler Field had three hits for the Panthers.
West Ranch 3, Valencia 0: Hunter Manning had a complete game performance with 12 strikeouts and no walks.
Saugus 5, Heart 1: Wesley Im pitched a complete game for Saugus and did not walk a batter. Jason Zepeda had two hits and two RBIs.
Foothills 12, Dos Pueblos 1: Garrett Davidson hit a three-run home run for Foothill.
Viewpoint 14, Mt. Miguel 5: Brandon Warner had eight strikeouts in four innings, and Austin Bash had five RBIs.
Loyola 15, Venice 2: For Loyola, James DelAmico hit two home runs and had six RBIs.

Garden Grove Pacifica 8, Calexico 1: The Mariners had a 15-0 record in the first round of the Michel Carew Tournament. Kayli Counts and Annika Sogusti each had two RBIs.
Norco 10, Great Oak 2: Maddie Aguilera and Tamlyn Shorter hit home runs for Norco.
El Modena 4, Los Alamitos 3: He scored four runs in the sixth inning, giving El Modena a breakthrough. Joselyn Alatorre hit a single to lead off two runs in the first inning.
