Join us for a week of engaging events celebrating Open Education Week at the University of New Mexico (UNM). These events, hosted by the UNM Open Educational Resources (OER) group, are designed to raise awareness of current efforts and celebrate the contributions of open educators across campus.
Open Education Week is an annual celebration dedicated to sharing and promoting open educational resources (OER). OER is teaching, learning, and research material that is freely available to the public or published under an open license for use, modification, and sharing.
By adopting OER, we can significantly reduce the financial burden of textbooks on students and make academic success more attainable for all. Join us to explore her latest achievements in OER and learn how it benefits both educators and students.

About the UNM OER Initiative
UNM's Open Educational Resources (OER) Initiative provides faculty with the support they need to adopt low-cost or no-cost textbook and course materials solutions for their courses when consistent with their instructional objectives and academic freedom. That's what I'm aiming for. We are planning partnerships with other institutions of higher education and the state of New Mexico to identify resources and support for faculty efforts in this area. For more information, please email oer@unm.edu.
