FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The 7th Annual Northwest Arkansas Black-Owned Business Expo will promote creativity, culture and commerce on February 24 at Fayetteville Town Center.
For this year's event, titled “Unleashing the Power of Unity,” the organizers' mission is to provide a platform for Black businesses, help them further expand their customer base, and provide resources for businesses to continue to grow. That's it.
Not only does it celebrate creatives from across the diaspora, but organizers say the event is also a way to build “intergenerational black wealth” locally.
A press release from the Black-Owned Business Expo states, “Supporting Black-owned businesses is not just a choice, but a commitment to breaking down systemic barriers and promoting economic empowerment.” “The impact goes beyond trade. It's about rewriting the narrative, creating opportunities and building communities that thrive together.”
Companies will also have the opportunity to network with other professionals, and potential partnerships may emerge.
Organizers say more than 900 people have registered to participate, and more than 85 vendors are businesses owned by men, women, parents, veterans and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Tickets are still available, but they will end soon. Click here for more information.
Unfortunately, business vendor registration is closed, but Black-owned sponsorships are always available.
