The FHO Racing Team has announced that it will not be participating in this year's International Road Race Northwest 200.
The British Superbike Team, owned by Faye Ho, will instead focus on the BSB series and the Isle of Man TT as BMW's official team.
The team will once again use Peter Hickman and Josh Brooks for these events.
Lincolnshire rider Hickman will compete in the North West event on PHR Racing's Superstock, Supersport and Supertwin machines.
Last year, the FHO Racing team withdrew from the North West after being told that the carbon wheels on its BMW Superstock bikes did not meet Irish Motorcycle Union regulations.
The FHO Racing team said in a statement that it will not be participating in this year's meeting, which will be held at the 19.7-mile Triangle circuit from May 8 to 11, for logistical reasons, while adding that last year's controversy “we took this into account in our decision.”
Team principal Faye Ho explained: “Of course, the decision not to participate in this year's North West 200 was not easy. We are a road race team and this is an important event in the lead-up to the North West 200.” . Male TT.
“However, after careful consideration and discussions with myself, Josh, Pete and the team, we have agreed to the decision not to participate, simply due to logistics and the event that occurred between the BSB rounds.” [at Oulton Park, 4-6 May and Donington Park [May 17-19]just go to TT.
“Last year we didn't feel like we were 100% ready heading into the TT as a team, but heading into the TT is something no one wants.
“Of course, the circumstances of last year's event were also taken into account in our decision, but in the end the main reason was simply that the calendars were so close.
“I have agreed with Pete that I can compete with my team and I fully support that,” he added.
“Myself and the whole team will miss this event and the Irish fans this year. We always have great support at the North West 200 and we wish everyone a safe and successful event.”
