The State Lottery Commission announced on March 11 which companies will be allowed to operate sports betting. Kelly Kendall is following this story for us and is in the studio this afternoon. Let's say at 3x speed that initially he had nine companies apply to the Lottery Commission, but only seven were approved. They include FanDuel, DraftKings, DraftKings, or rather MGM, among others. The Lottery Commission says it plans to approve more licenses in the near future. But for now, starting tomorrow, North Carolinians will be able to register for accounts and make deposits with these sports betting companies.

Under the commission's sports betting license, people 21 and older can place bets using computers, phones and other electronic devices starting at noon on March 11.
