Alexander Isak's prolific goalscoring at St James's Park helped Newcastle beat Tottenham, raising expectations for next season's European football.
Isak scored two clinical finishes in each half, making it his sixth consecutive goal on home soil.
The striker has scored 17 goals in 24 Premier League appearances this season.
Anthony Gordan and Fabian Schaal also scored for the Magpies, while Timo Werner had two chances for Spurs, but his finishing let him down.
Newcastle's big win moves them into sixth place in the table, one point ahead of Manchester United, who face Bournemouth on Saturday at 17:30 BST.
Spurs have fallen to fifth place, still level on points with Aston Villa, but behind Unai Emery's side on goal difference.
More to come.
