Includes new fields for the school, baseball and softball teams. There is also a practice facility for the school's golf team. Students who spent years at Hiram Johnson High School had nothing to boast about when it came to athletic facilities. They looked around and found something that we did not have and now can no longer say. The facilities here are unparalleled and have provided student-athletes the opportunity to participate in an environment unmatched by any other school. It must feel good. A special ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Thursday at Hiram Johnson High School to officially open the school's sports facilities. This includes new fields for the school's baseball and softball teams. There is also a practice facility for the school's golf team. The opening of the sports complex is the final stage of several improvements, including a new turf for the soccer field, a new track, bleachers, lighting, concessions and toilet buildings.
