BEST Inc., a smart supply chain and logistics solutions provider in China and Southeast Asia, has installed advanced dimensioning, weighing and scanning (DWS) systems at its largest sorting centre in Southeast Asia, located in Shah Alam U10 (KULHUB), Malaysia. The investment in these 11 state-of-the-art systems totals approximately RM10 million.
BEST Inc. Malaysia CEO Gavin Lu officiated the opening ceremony marking a significant milestone for the company. Mr Lu highlighted the importance of this technological advancement to BEST Inc. in Malaysia.

DWS technology represents our commitment to optimising logistics through automation and precision,” said Lu.
The newly installed DWS system increases sorting efficiency with its ability to scan five sides of a parcel simultaneously. This comprehensive scanning capability captures barcode information, dynamic volume, and weight data from all angles, reducing parcel placement requirements and improving identification efficiency. Each DWS machine can process 20,000 parcels per hour, giving KULHUB a daily parcel throughput of 500,000 parcels.
