The Midwest is bracing for severe storms that could bring tornadoes, damaging winds and hail Tuesday night.
The overnight threat of tornadoes is increasing from Missouri to Ohio, including Evansville, Illinois. Louisville, Kentucky. And Cincinnati.
Chicago and northern Illinois also face additional tornado and hail threats.
Meanwhile, a blizzard warning was in effect for parts of North Dakota and Minnesota Tuesday night. Up to 2 inches of snow and wind gusts of up to 50 mph are expected, leading to whiteout conditions and hazardous travel.
In the Northeast, flood watches have been issued from West Virginia to Maine ahead of a combination of heavy rain and snowmelt.
Severe storms will hit the Ohio Valley early Wednesday morning.
The heaviest rain, winds and possible thunderstorms will reach the East Coast from the Carolinas to Maine Wednesday afternoon and evening. Heavy rain is expected in Washington, DC, Philadelphia, New York City, and Boston.
The storm will end late Wednesday night.
