The first round of the women's tournament concluded on Saturday, and the second round of the men's tournament began.
Although they lacked an upset on this day, they showed their star power. On the women's side, Caitlin Clark made her tournament debut and nearly recorded a triple-double. On the other side, UConn's girlfriend Paige Bueckers made a triumphant return to the tournament for the first time in two years due to injury. Freshman phenoms JuJu Watkins and Hannah Hidalgo also made their tournament debuts with monster performances.
On the men's side, UNC, Arizona and Tennessee were all there, but tournament favorite Jack Goelke and Oakland were sent to No. 11 North Carolina State.

Key points from the first round of the women's tournament
Final: Creighton 86, Oregon 73
The No. 3 Blue Jays needed two overtime games to survive a daring upset by No. 11 Oregon State, but will advance to the Sweet 16 to face No. 2 Tennessee.

Nfalee Dante made another powerful dunk to extend Oregon's lead to 62-58. There was less than a minute left.
