Is it possible to love the Lakers and still wish LeBron would take his tired performance elsewhere? I'm so tired of watching LeBron blame others for his team's failures. I'm dissatisfied with every coach the Lakers have had. He runs around the court throughout the game criticizing the referees who called fouls against him or didn't call fouls that he thought were fouls. And he uses leverage to get a hand-picked teammate (Russell Westbrook) who is okay for other teams but not for his team.
Paying for his talent is becoming a difficult process for the Lakers to continue their success, especially when they aren't.

LeBron, please resign. Put “all about me” somewhere else. Stop holding Los Angeles hostage to your own giant ego and get the Lakers back.

Now we know why Darvin Ham and his coaches were fired by the Lakers. What I don't understand is why general manager Rob Pelinka kept Talen Horton-Tucker, released Alex Caruso, and traded Kyle Kuzma and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope for Russell Westbrook. I mean, why didn't you do that?

Durvin Ham was never the problem. It was never his team. It was LeBron James' team. The problem is the owner. Like the Angels, the Lakers are stymied by ownership that has no idea what they're doing (pun intended). Arte Moreno and Jeanie Buss need to sell the team to an owner who clearly understands what it takes to win a championship. In the case of the Lakers, it no longer has to do with Jerry Buss' past genius, but with his progeny's current ineptitude.

My dad introduced me to the Lakers when I was a kid in 1968-69, and I've been to as many games as I can ever since. Fast forward: There's no doubt that LeBron is a great basketball player and he's doing something special in the community. But years of watching his immature antics and behavior when he disagrees with calls is disgusting, embarrassing, and inappropriate for a leader. If the Lakers give this player a max extension, I wouldn't mind playing every game, and if the Lakers sign his kids, I won't mind playing them until they're gone. I'm going to leave.
I feel sorry for Dr. Buss, Kobe, Chick and all the true Lakers greats.

It's the little things that win championships. Make free throws, limit your opponent's second chance points, box out, limit turnovers, take wide open shots, and make shots in crunch time. The Nuggets did all of these things. The Lakers didn't. The season is over.

Now, I'm used to results being delayed by a day, but what happened in Monday night's Game 5 loss when the Times ran three Lakers articles in Wednesday's paper? Is there a reason why you didn't post anything about it?
In a game where neither team led by more than two points in the final nine minutes, what about Denver grabbing two big offensive rebounds in the final two minutes or Jamal Murray getting burned again? Wasn't there?
Seriously, how many times do we need to read that LeBron hasn't decided if he will receive $51 million next season?

Memo to Clippers owner Steve Ballmer:
1 – LeBron wants Ty Lue as his coach.
2 – LeBron loves living in LA
3 – LeBron’s family wants to live in Los Angeles
4 – LeBron wants to win another NBA Championship, something he won’t be able to do with the Lakers.
Solution: The Clippers should sign LeBron and Ty Lue to long-term deals.
The Clippers should also use their second-round draft pick to select Bronny.
LeBron, Leonard, and the rest of the Clippers will win the NBA title in 2025.

Extra, extra!no
Based on the Dodgers' overtime record over the past few years, I offer the following. If the score is tied after 9 innings, you will forfeit the match and move on. Additional rest would be more beneficial than no chance of winning.

Two Stanley Cup championship teams are now in the rearview mirror. Kings fans are currently in the throes of a long rebuild, and what we've received is a team that won't survive the first round, even if they manage to make it to the playoffs. Being a great player does not make you a competent manager or judge of talent. Luc Robitaille and Rob Blake were great players, but despite having plenty of time, they were unable to put together a competitive team. It's time for a change. Does anyone know what Dean Lombardi is up to these days?

The Kings' playoff failure was certainly the third blow to general manager Rob Blake and president Luc Robataille. The trade for Pierre-Luc Dubois was a disaster because he looked more like the Invisible Man than the dynamic star they had hoped for. It's time to change the guard and plan a new direction for the future.

Every year, when the Angels are eliminated from the playoffs, I write a letter to the Times. It's early this year. Rex Hudler's curse lives on! The Angels haven't won a playoff game since canning their popular announcer. Arte, you fired the wrong guy. I should have canned it myself.

Mike Trout's season may not be over yet, but his time with the Angels should be. The Angels should trade him to the Phillies. The Phillies are a team that welcomes him and is close to where he grew up. They should do so for a bunch of farm prospects.
I wish Anthony Rendon could do the same, but I don't think anyone would want him.

From 2021 through the end of this season, the Angels will pay Anthony Rendon and Mike Trout a combined $281 million. This has to be one of the worst returns on investment in baseball history. And Angels fans thought Josh Hamilton and Albert Pujols' contracts were bad.

New Chargers manager Jim Harbaugh made good on his promise to get “15-0” tattooed on his arm if the University of Michigan wins last season. “3 years suspended sentence for hiring violation'' probably doesn't apply.
