SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Domantas Sabonis had 17 points, 19 rebounds and 10 assists and the Sacramento Kings defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 120-107 on Wednesday night.
The Kings have won seven of the last eight games against the Lakers, including a four-game sweep this season. All five Kings starters scored in double figures, with Harrison Barnes making seven 3-pointers and scoring 23 points, De'Aaron Fox with 21 points and Keegan Murray with 19 points.
Sabonis' triple-double is his league-leading 23rd, the last one coming in last week's win over the Kings and Lakers.
Austin Reaves led the Lakers with 28 points. Anthony Davis had 22 points and 10 rebounds, and LeBron James had 18 points and 13 boards.
Both teams are competing for a playoff spot, with the Kings tied for sixth place in the Western Conference with Phoenix and three games behind the ninth-place Lakers.
After a close first half, Sacramento pulled away in the third quarter, opening the quarter on a 10-2 run to open a double-digit lead and holding Los Angeles within reach with four field goals. Back-to-back baskets by Fox ended the third set and gave the Kings a 15-point lead.
The Lakers cut the lead to single digits early in the fourth, but Barnes and Malik Monk responded with back-to-back 3-pointers to give the Kings a comfortable cushion once again.
Sacramento led 60-56 at halftime, led by Murray's 14 points and four 3-pointers.
The Kings were without Kevin Huerter (right foot contusion) and Trey Lyles (left knee sprain).
