Kim Petras announced Wednesday that she is canceling her scheduled festival appearances this summer due to unspecified health concerns.
“I am in shock as I write this, but I have been experiencing health issues and on the advice of my doctors I have had to make the difficult decision not to perform at festivals this summer.” the pop star wrote on social media. “I love you so much and I will make it up to you and be back soon better than ever.”
Petras was scheduled to perform at LadyLand Music Fest this June (she performed at the first LadyLand Festival in 2018), as well as shows at Barcelona's Primavera Sound, Mighty Hoopla, and Capitol Hill Block Party. Last month, the singer revealed she sought therapy following the huge success of her song 'Unholy' with Sam Smith, which reached number one in the US. “There were more eyes on me than ever before,” Petras said, adding that he felt “exposed and scared” of her sudden attention.
