Just before the hearing ended, Trump's defense attorneys resumed their argument for a delay over pretrial publicity, saying they were prepared to file a motion for a delay on Monday.
The district attorney's office responded that the pretrial publicity was “incited and aggravated by the defendant,” and said it was prepared to oppose the defense's motion if it were successful.
Marchand earlier said the Manhattan District Attorney's Office was not to blame for delays in providing documents from federal prosecutors.
Timeline details: Jury selection takes place the week before Passover, and all jurors are informed that court will not be held on days when jurors are unable to attend due to religious observances.
