The marketing team at Hill Street retailer Jack Murphy Jewellers is celebrating after winning the Retail & E-Commerce award at the recent 2024 Remarkable Marketing Awards.
Family-run Jack Murphy Jewellers has been a retail staple in Newry town centre for over 50 years and the company’s Marketing Manager, Charlotte McAteer, and Marketing Executive, Tara O’Hanlon, entered the awards to showcase their Welded Forever Bracelet experience, which was then the first of its kind in Newry.
Speaking about the bracelet, which launched in June 2023 as part of a series of in-store pop-up events, Charlotte explains: “Our Welded Forever Bracelet became a permanent product within a month of launch. This unique bracelet has no clasp, instead it is permanently welded together for ongoing wear.”
“The permanent jewelry display allows us to connect with new and existing customers in a more relaxed, yet sophisticated, atmosphere and gives us the opportunity to showcase not only Welded Forever Bracelets, but also our signature diamond and bridal products.”
Speaking about her team's win on the night, Charlotte said: “Winning this prestigious award for most notable marketing in retail and e-commerce at the Remarkable Marketing Awards 2024 is an incredible honour and wouldn't have been possible without the support of the entire team at Jack Murphy Jewellers and each and every one of our customers who have and continue to support our Welded Forever Bracelet experience.”
“From the initial concept to execution, every step of this campaign has been a labor of love and filled with creativity and an unwavering commitment to customer experience, which is why we're incredibly proud to receive this award.”
The inaugural Remarkable Marketing Awards recognised 20 professionals from across the industry at a glittering awards ceremony held recently at the Europa Hotel.
Sponsored by Card Group Research, the awards were created by the team behind the wildly popular annual conference, Big Marketing Meet Up.
Hosted by communicator and presenter Emer Maguire, RMA gave marketers and their teams the opportunity to showcase their creativity, innovation and marketing successes.
Speaking about the awards, founder Treena Clarke said: “The Remarkable Marketing Awards celebrate the minds behind ground-breaking work. The awards aren't about brands, channels or tactics – they're about the people who are visionary marketers.”
This year’s theme was to encourage marketers to show off their achievements and celebrate the Northern Irish people behind the most influential campaigns promoting their brands, helping clients achieve their goals and bringing great ideas to life.
RMA is sponsored by principal sponsor Card Group Research and Insight, along with category sponsors Excalibur Press, Horrible Brands, Mrktsearch, Belfast Academy of Marketing, Thought Boxes, Creating Retail Magic and CO3.
