This intergovernmental expert group will strengthen UNCTAD's work on information and communications technology, electronic commerce, and the digital economy for development, and will support UNCTAD in helping developing countries participate in and benefit from the evolving digital economy. The aim is to strengthen the capabilities of Reduce the digital divide to build a more inclusive knowledge society.
The substantive agenda for the 7th meeting is as follows.
Contribution
Member States and observers are invited to submit written contributions to facilitate deliberation and the informal exchange of experiences and good practices on the topics to be discussed.
participation
This session is open to all UNCTAD Member States. Other organizations may participate as observers, including not only academia and the private sector, but also professional institutions, intergovernmental organizations, and general and special category non-governmental organizations.
Registration
Online registration is mandatory for everyone wishing to attend the conference and is required to be included in the list of participants.
logistics
This session will be held with physical participation in Room XIX of the Palais des Nations. Those unable to attend the meeting in person can listen to a live audio stream in his six official languages of the United Nations.
