Patients also have virtual access to bariatric specialists, mental health professionals, nutritionists, and peer navigators.
The extended seed round included participation from LifeX Ventures, Celtic House Asia Partners, and Cornucopian Capital. The first seed round included Nick Loporcaro, President and CEO of Global Medical Response. LifeX Ventures partner Rika Christonto chose to invest in Ilant Health because of its founders, Elina Onitskanky (CEO) and Jessica Muse (COO). All three went on to Harvard University.
“At LifeX, we deeply analyze advances in technology and systemic changes in healthcare. But it is very difficult to separate the good founders from the bad ones. It was a serendipitous moment when I realized that my classmates Erina and Jess, who I have seen repeatedly create a company together, are classmates who reliably achieve the impossible,” said Christonto. said in a statement. “Their combined experience puts us in a unique position to solve this health problem in a scalable way and gain commercial traction at a level rarely seen for companies at this stage. .”
Onitsukanky told MedCity News that the extension of the seed round “comes from people who really understand healthcare and know our team really well, and there's no greater confidence than investing from experts.” “There's nothing to show for it,” he said, so it's meaningful. The funding will be used to support business development and growth, she said.
This announcement comes at a time when weight management programs and GLP-1 are receiving significant attention in the healthcare industry. Other companies, such as Found and Noom, also offer bariatric care programs. Many medical professionals also emphasize the importance of individualizing weight management through medications, lifestyle changes, and other interventions.
Onitsukanky said Iranto Health's ultimate goal is to “transform the cardiometabolic health of this country, and how that is essential to addressing overall health, longevity, and healthcare costs.” we know.''
