A cafe in Adams County is closing after 23 years in business. Hunt's Battlefield Fries and Cafe in Gettysburg will close at the end of November as owner Scott Hunt retires. According to the website, Mr. Hunt spent time in New Jersey in the 1990s when he ran a fresh-cut fly business, then returned to his hometown of York. While out at night with his wife in Gettysburg, he spotted a storefront on his Avenue Steinwehr and decided to reopen the French Fries business. This restaurant also serves cheesesteaks and steaks. Continuing the beach tradition of burgers and old-fashioned glass bottled sodas.

During a night out with his wife in Gettysburg, he found a house with a storefront on Steinwehr Street and decided to restart his french fry business.
The restaurant also serves cheesesteaks and burgers, and continues the beach tradition of old-fashioned soda in glass bottles.
