Frontier Airlines said in a statement to USA TODAY that Flight 1759 was boarding at Charlotte Douglas International Airport on Wednesday when a “strong odor was detected throughout the aircraft” and the captain “issued an evacuation order as an emergency.” . It's a matter of precaution. ”
“Passengers were evacuated from the aircraft via both the jet bridge and the evacuation slide,” the airline said, adding that all 226 ejected passengers were accommodated on alternate flights. A Frontier Airlines spokesperson said one person was injured when he fell down the slide.
