Fortnite is back with a classic seasonal transition.This time, a giant Titan Hand appears ahead of Season 2 Chapter 5 emerged from the earth It has a giant chained box that may or may not have something to do with some doom-inducing Greek myth.
Yes, it's Pandora's Box, and players are tasked with shooting through its chains and chipping away at trillions of health. The Chains are slowly breaking, and this is a community effort that will open up new steps for Fortnite's upcoming Greek Mythology season.
As of early this morning, about 60% of the health bar has been scraped off in 15 hours or so, and that's one out of trillions of HP, so that HP pool is shared, so the entire Fortnite community across the player population won't run out of it anytime soon. I recall this happening several times in the past with Fortnite's shared “shoot/mine something with lots of health” events.
Where this is going is probably not very good. You know, it's a Pandora's box, and not all that great stuff happened when it was opened. If you're a slightly younger Fortnite player and don't know the story, here's a refresher.

Well, I just learned that Pandora's Box was actually Pandora's Jar. And we are all just running with mistranslations. However, the giant hand holding the bottle may have been more confusing to everyone involved.
We already think we have a good idea of what happens in Greek mythology season, including a lot of Greek gods and myths like Cerberus. Many will be included in the Battle Pass, while others will definitely reside in the Store.
Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 2 will be released on March 8, 2024, but at this rate it will probably be finished later today, so don't worry about not being able to open your box by then. It is unknown if this is the final stage or if a battle with a large number of curses will begin from now on. Or maybe you'll see the face of a giant Titan next on your map. Oh, wait, was this guy supporting the map the whole time?
