BRAINERD — Essentia Health will host an online nursing summit, “The Future of Nursing is Now: Innovation and Excellence in Care,” on April 5 from 8:30 a.m. to approximately 5 p.m.
The summit aims to enable nurses to connect with each other and share their expertise and experiences. Focuses on new practices in nursing that improve patient care and the profession as a whole.
“This Nursing Summit is designed by nurses, for nurses,” said Jamie Astrup, Essentia's Magnet program director, in a news release. “Nurses are encouraged to attend the Summit as it is a great professional development opportunity.
“We look to the future of nursing and nursing practice and continually seek to discover new and innovative approaches to care that meet the needs of our patients,” Astrup said. “Our hope is that those attending the summit will be inspired and empowered to continue leading the advancement of the nursing profession.”
Topics include:
- Advocating for health and equity.
- Social determinants of health.
- happiness.
- innovation.
- leadership.
Speakers from several different hospitals and universities will speak on a variety of topics for current and future nurses and other health care professionals.
