Position purpose
The E-Commerce & Outbound Sales Associate will develop customer relationships to drive direct sales via outbound email and phone calls. Identify and maintain strategic partnerships with corporate clients to increase direct sales and acquire new customers. Be a personal “wine concierge” and primary contact for all customer service opportunities, including sales, reservations, delivery issues and other inquiries.
Functional Responsibilities
Main duties
• Perform outbound sales activities to sell wines and merchandise to customer database
• Communicate and promote winery events, experiences, wine family upgrade options and additional services and products.
• Update your internal customer database with new information collected during the call
• Ensure all procedures and policies are followed and work with Manager to develop new policies as needed.
• Respond promptly and accurately to customer inquiries via telephone and email
• Recommends and maintains customer service best practices based on experience interacting with customers.
• Maintain a pleasant, friendly and helpful customer service environment, including other departments, through face-to-face, telephone and email communications.
• Prioritize and execute outbound sales calls to both potential and existing customers to meet or exceed established sales and membership goals.
• Follow up sales calls with personalized, detailed emails
• Work closely with DTC E-Commerce and Outbound Sales Managers to effectively segment customer database for targeted sales campaigns.
• Occasionally participate in special events held on the premises in the evenings and on weekends
• Generate reports to determine appropriate contact lists
• Maintain Telesales daily, weekly and monthly reports.
• Manage the outbound promotion calendar
• Promote sales and wine club to customers and members via phone, personalized emails and text messages to meet daily, monthly and yearly sales goals.
• Work with managers to plan and execute external sales promotions.
• Generate leads and manage relationships with external sales partners and vendors
• Work closely with the DTC team to provide excellent and proactive customer service that is attentive, elegant and friendly.

Minimum requirements
Education and Experience
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Three years of direct consumer sales experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and a minimum of one year of telephone sales experience.
• Experience in sales within the wine and spirits industry preferred.

California Salary Transparency Disclaimer: This is a non-exempt position. The salary range for this position is $18.46 – $28.86. It is not common for individuals to be employed at or near the high end of the salary range for the role. Actual placement within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including candidate qualifications, education, experience, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
