The Covington Educational Foundation's Hall of Fame event on June 12 will be a memorable night in which the organization honors the outstanding achievements of individuals who have supported Holmes High School and made a significant impact in their fields. Sho.
Among those honored at the event were inductees into the Holmes High School Hall of Fame, including esteemed figures such as Dan Francis, former pastor of Latonia Baptist Church (Holmes High School Class of 1970); is included. Clinton Jackson, William Grant High School Class of 1963 graduate and retired business owner. Randy Marsh (1967 Holmes High School graduate) is a former Major League Baseball umpire who had an illustrious career from 1981 to 2009.
These people not only excel in their careers, but also contribute positively to their communities.
Founded in 1997, the Covington Education Foundation has focused on providing post-secondary scholarships, developing youth leaders and supporting mentoring programs.
In addition to the inductees, the Hall of Fame event will also recognize Person of the Year and outstanding young alumni of Holmes High School.
This year's recipient is Covington Mayor Joe Meyer.
The outstanding young graduates are attorney Julia Krumes, a 2011 Holmes High School graduate, and Covington Police Officer Alex Olvera Vancini, a 2016 Holmes High School graduate.
The awards ceremony will be held at 6pm on June 12th at the Dries Pavilion in DeVoe Park.
