The Orillia District Chamber of Commerce (ODCC) and the Competitive Sport Fishing League (CSIL) have reached an agreement regarding the future of the Orillia Perch Festival.
From 2024, Perch Festival will be owned and managed by CSFL, with the first year under new management running from Friday 26th April to Sunday 28th April, with the event period expanding in coming years. It is expected to be.
“The Orillia Area Chamber of Commerce is committed to this event in any way we can, and the CSFL is a world-class organization that has what it takes to keep the tournament alive in Orillia for many years to come,” Executive Director Alan・Lafontaine said. O.D.C.C.
“One of the challenges we have in running the Perch Festival is the reduced volunteer effort and staff time required to complete the annual event. In addition to focusing on our operations, we need additional time to advocate for our members,” LaFontaine said. .

The Competitive Sport Fishing League currently hosts more than 30 annual events from April to October, including the Bassmania Circuit, Pro Bass Cup Series, MLF Canada, and other special events. Given its association with fishing, it makes sense for CSFL to add this great, long-standing event to its impressive roster of fishing events.
Orillia will continue to be the go-to place for boating in central Ontario, and new event organizers are ensuring that perch remains the main reason to visit Orillia and Lake Country.
