Cincinnati Health Department warns of potential measles exposure at Heritage Bank Center
The Cincinnati Health Department was notified of a measles outbreak at Heritage Bank Center last Friday. Health officials say anyone who attended a Disney on Ice performance or was in the building within two hours after the show ended could have contracted measles. CHD begins 3 to 5 days after other symptoms appear and people who may have been exposed to measles and develop symptoms such as high fever, cough, runny nose, watery eyes, or rash must arrange for testing. He said he needed to isolate himself until he could. The ministry also said people with symptoms should not get tested Thursday night because more people could be infected in hospital emergency rooms. Health authorities also called on people to check their immunity status, which is guaranteed by the MMR vaccine, which is part of routine childhood immunizations.
