Starting on the first day of the Spring 2024 semester, all Carleton students will have free 24/7 access to virtual medical and mental health resources as an extension of the comprehensive medical services provided by Carleton Student Health and Counseling (SHAC) You will be able to do it. This addition is based on the recommendations of the Student Mental Health and Wellness Task Force, which gathered feedback from students, faculty, and staff in focus groups and community sessions over the past year and ultimately Recommendations include investing in health care.
By adding free 24/7 access to virtual medical and mental health resources in conjunction with current on-campus services, Carleton will further meet the demand for individualized care in the time frame students need it. That's what I'm aiming for. New virtual resources are available through a partnership with TimelyCare. TimelyCare is a safe, secure, URAC-certified and HIPAA-compliant platform that facilitates care coordination and follow-up to ensure continuity of care according to campus-specific protocols. Benefits for students include convenient care, reduced wait times, a diverse network of providers, and translation services that support over 240 languages.
Students will have access to virtual care from licensed physicians and counselors anywhere in the United States. Like SHAC's other services, these virtual resources are free and do not require insurance claims. Her TimelyCare resources for Carleton students include:
