GILLETTE, Wyo. — The Wyoming Department of Agriculture's Division of Consumer Health Services is conducting inspections of retail food establishments throughout Wyoming (where there is no local health department conducting inspections) to ensure the safety of Wyoming residents. Masu.
Campbell County facilities are inspected by WDA at least once a year. All of these reports are publicly available and can be viewed on the WDA website. This includes only routine inspections and does not include follow-up or other types of inspections.
According to the WDA, establishments are either in compliance or in violation of non-serious violations (not related to food) or serious violations (potential for causing food poisoning).
WDA explains that while it looks for flaws, the organization's “primary goal is to educate the business.”
This report is designed to help companies understand risky practices and how to correct them.
Any violation puts your business out of compliance. However, there are different levels of noncompliance, so non-compliance does not necessarily mean a business is unsafe.
Inspections are a “snapshot” in time, and violations are often corrected before the inspector leaves the facility. Depending on the severity of the violation, the company will have 10 to 45 days to correct the violation.
Critical violations and notable citations will be noted in the summary notes below, while each restaurant's complete report can be found on the WDA website, where all current information is publicly available.
