The University of Minnesota-Duluth is currently ranked No. 3 in the latest Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference All-Sport Standings, which were recalculated after the winter sports season.
Minnesota State University-Mankato maintains its lead in the overall and women's standings, while Augustana University leads the men's standings with 11 of the 18 NSIC championships appearing. MSU won first place in men's and women's indoor track and field and men's and women's basketball, and took second place in women's swimming and diving, earning 126.5 points. In the overall standings, he has UMD (90.5) in his third place and Northern State University (86.0) in his fourth place.
The NSIC All-Sports award is calculated by awarding each conference-sponsored championship point winner the sum of the number of teams in that sport plus one. The next-placed player will receive a total of points equal to the number of teams minus the number of places. If there is a tie for placement at any level, points will be totaled and distributed equally.
The NSIC All-Sport Champion will be announced after the spring season and the award will be presented at the NSIC Summer Kickoff in the Twin Cities in July.
